Management Notes
Harbor Point is a smoke-free property and no smoking is allowed. If you wish to smoke, please do so on Mt. Vernon Street or along the boardwalk. All cigarettes should be properly disposed of to avoid mulch fires. At no time should residents be smoking inside their unit or on property and carelessly disposing of their smoking materials.;
Residents are required to pick up after their pets on property; dog waste stations are located in different areas for your convenience. Do not dispose of feces in building lobbies. Please dispose in dumpsters.
Mattresses may not be disposed of at Harbor Point; if you need to dispose of a mattress, please contact Management for information on a disposal company and their costs.
Items may not be left in the common areas, including hallways. If shoes, mats, decorations, etc. are found in the hallways, they will be removed and discarded without notice.
Packages should be picked up promptly from all building lobbies. We strongly encourage residents to use the Amazon lockers located on property or the package concierge service to avoid loss of packages.
Maintenance Notes
Spring Into Smart Flushing Habits!
🚨 Important Notice for Residents: Protect Your Plumbing! 🚨
Dear Residents,
We need your help in keeping our community’s plumbing system running smoothly! Flushing items like wipes (even "flushable" ones), feminine products, paper towels, cotton swabs, and other non-toilet paper materials can cause serious plumbing issues, leading to costly and inconvenient problems for everyone.
Why is this a problem?
🔹 Blockages & Clogs – Unlike toilet paper, these items don’t break down easily. They can build up in pipes, causing blockages that lead to overflows and backups.
🔹 Expensive Repairs – Clogged pipes can lead to major plumbing issues, requiring costly maintenance that could result in increased utility bills or fees.
🔹 Sewage Backups – A severe clog can cause wastewater to back up into apartments, leading to unpleasant odors, water damage, and unsanitary conditions.
🔹 Environmental Damage – Many of these materials do not dissolve and can contribute to pollution in our water systems.
What should you do?
✅ ONLY flush toilet paper and human waste.
❌ DO NOT flush:
Baby wipes, cleaning wipes, or "flushable" wipes
Feminine hygiene products (tampons, pads, liners)
Paper towels or tissues
Cotton swabs or dental floss
Grease, food, or any other household waste
Instead, please dispose of these items in the trash. A simple change in habit can prevent plumbing emergencies, protect your home, and save everyone time and money!
Thank you for your cooperation! 🚰💙
Seasonal Tips
🍂 Enjoy the Crisp Air – Fall is the perfect time for a stroll along the Harborwalk or a bike ride while the weather is cool and the leaves start to change. Bundle up and take in the waterfront views or enjoy a picnic with seasonal treats like apple cider and pumpkin bread.
🏀 Make the Most of Amenities – Cooler weather makes it ideal for indoor fitness. Visit the on-site fitness center, play a round of basketball, or join neighbors for community activities. On brisk days, relax in your apartment with cozy blankets, fall-scented candles, or a favorite movie.
🏡 Prep Your Apartment for Fall – Swap out lightweight summer linens for warmer bedding. Test your heating system early to make sure it’s ready when colder nights arrive. Add seasonal touches like pumpkins, mums, or autumn wreaths to your entryway or balcony.
🎃 Fall Events & Activities – The Boston area comes alive in the fall with farmers markets, harvest festivals, and Halloween events. Look out for community happenings at Moakley Park, Faneuil Hall, and the Seaport District.
🚶 Stay Active & Explore – Take a walk at Castle Island, explore the Emerald Necklace parks, or plan a day trip to nearby apple orchards or pumpkin patches. Bluebikes are still available well into the season for easy city exploration.
☕ Stay Warm & Healthy – Stay energized by sipping on hot tea or cider, dressing in layers, and keeping hand sanitizer handy as cold season begins. Make sure to get your flu shot to stay protected.
No matter how you choose to enjoy the season, Harbor Point and Boston offer plenty of opportunities to celebrate fall. Embrace the crisp air, colorful scenery, and cozy moments that make autumn special! 🍁
